Oceanic

Oceanic was built at Monfalcone for the now defunct Home Lines. In 1985 she was sold to Premier Cruises and named StarShip Oceanic. In 2000 she was sold to the Spanish operator Pullmantur, since March 2009 Oceanic has been chartered by Peace Boat.

The material for the video clips presented on this page was recorded when Oceanic returned to New York in June 2009 after an absence of twenty-four years.

Special thanks go to the Peace Boat Organization for granting permission to film aboard during a visit organized for members of the World Ship Society, the port agent of Oceanic and to Yacht-Smart for being very cooperative when the departure of Oceanic from her berth at Manhattan was delayed for a whole day.
